Progressing a user-centric culture within an organization can be a challenge. However, empowering product owners/managers/engineers to focus on the users at all stages of development can be a win for everyone. We created a user-centric scorecard system to help assess the user-centric efforts of each team within the organization and to help progress a user-centric culture within MSTS, which is based out of Kansas City. The scorecard system, which involves quantifying 1) how the team is listening to its users and using feedback, 2) how/what usability testing is being performed and results implicated, and 3) how post-launch product success is being measured, helps teams take ownership of user-centric efforts to improve company-wide user-centric culture.
